Thirteen months today since we left N.Y., and to all appearances it will be sometime before we see it again. For several days had very disagreeable weather, with a frightful sea on causing the ship to roll considerable besides losing ground. We are now 1330 miles from Diego Ramirez. Up to this date we have sailed two hund. and eighty six thousand and eighty three miles since we left .N.Y.
