Weather better today, not so much sea on, it has been so disagreeable the last two weeks, not been able to do work of any kind. Machine not to be thought of, only been able to use it a short time one day since we came out. This day 650 miles from the Cape. Seen only one small vessel since we felt Callao, weather dark, dreary and rainy.
