A lovely day, the finest since we left the other side of the line, and a fair wind too, thank God. The thermometer now 10 a.m., 72. I have been on deck for an hour, quite a treat after my long imprisonment. At noon Lat. 32.14, Long. 89.48. I do hope this wind may continue, as we shall soon be where we expect to get the trade winds, and not be disappointed as we were before.
