Christmas Day dined off roast turkey, boiled tongue, green peas, tomatoes, potatoes, etc. and plum pudding and mince pies. Fried oysters for breakfast. Weather so hot I had to fan myself to keep at all cool. Ship very uneasy, pitching into a head sea and northerly wind for several days. About three thous. three hund. miles from the Channel.
